Payment and Refund Policy

This policy applies to donations and Rise With the Tide tickets, tables, and sponsorships paid directly to More Than Conquerors Inc., known as MTC Surf. It applies to payments made after the policy is published and clearly disclosed before payment. It does not retroactively change earlier purchase terms or a separate binding written agreement.

Event purchases

Tickets, tables, and sponsorships are non-refundable. If MTC Surf cancels the event, we will issue a full refund.

This applies to Rise With the Tide event purchases. Refunds are not available for buyer cancellations, changes of mind, illness, scheduling conflicts, inability to attend, late arrival, unused admissions, or no-shows. Please check the event, amount, quantity, and package details before paying.

Nothing in this policy limits a refund or other remedy required by law or applicable payment rules, or a right under an existing binding agreement.

Donation errors and unauthorized payments

Completed voluntary donations are non-refundable. A separate donation is not an event purchase and is not automatically refunded if an event is cancelled. Any restrictions accepted with a donation remain applicable. If you believe a charge is unauthorized, duplicated, or processed in an incorrect amount, contact elle@mtcsurf.org promptly so we can investigate and make any required correction. We do not treat a billing error as a new donation merely because this policy says payments are final.

Include your name, the email used for payment, the payment date and amount, and your receipt or order reference if available. Do not email full card numbers, bank credentials, or security codes. Contacting MTC does not replace any separate deadline or right you have with your payment provider.

Tickets, guest names, and transfers

Tickets and table admissions are valid only for the event and allocation purchased. Changes to guest names or a request to transfer a ticket are separate from refunds and remain subject to the event's instructions and MTC confirmation. A transfer request does not create an additional admission, guarantee a change, or entitle the purchaser to a refund.

Event cancellation or changes by MTC

MTC may need to postpone, relocate, modify, or cancel an event for safety, weather, venue, staffing, or other operational reasons. We will communicate material changes and explain the arrangements that apply to your purchase. A postponement or other change does not automatically create a refund entitlement, but any refund or remedy required by law or applicable payment rules remains available.

If MTC cancels the event, we will arrange a full refund for the affected tickets, tables, and sponsorships. We will not substitute a credit or convert that refund into a charitable gift without your affirmative agreement.

This policy does not retroactively change an existing sponsorship agreement or the terms of an earlier purchase.

Monthly donation cancellation

You may cancel future monthly donations. Visit Monthly donation help or email elle@mtcsurf.org from your donation email address. Use the secure self-service portal if it is available; otherwise, request MTC's confirmation of cancellation and the effective date. Opening the help page, closing an MTC account, or unsubscribing from newsletters does not itself cancel billing.

Stopping future charges is different from refunding completed gifts. Completed gifts remain subject to this policy. A charge that is unauthorized or processed contrary to an effective cancellation is subject to applicable correction and dispute rights.

How refunds are handled

We normally return refunds through the original payment method, unless a different lawful method is necessary. An event-cancellation refund includes the full amount paid for the affected purchase; MTC will not deduct its processing costs. We will provide any legally required refund within the applicable required period. Processing and posting times depend on the payment provider and financial institution.

Merchandise and third-party transactions

This policy does not establish return, exchange, defect, warranty, or shipping terms for a separate merchandise shop or for a purchase from an independent seller. Review that transaction's terms before paying. No final-sale statement removes mandatory rights for defective, misdescribed, unauthorized, or undelivered goods or services.
